Daniel Pusateri was born to Augustine and Nancy Pusateri on October 23, 1966, in the first ward of Buffalo alongside his brother, David. The family would later move to live on Amsdell Road in Hamburg, where Daniel would live most of his life in the surrounding area. A proud American and hard worker, Daniel would serve in the United States Army in his younger years.
Daniel began his own family when he met Carol Rzeszutek while she worked in a local pizzeria. The pair hit it off, and Carol told her coworkers that was the man she was going to marry. He kept returning, and the rest was history. Carol and Daniel would share 21 beautiful years together. The family wasn't complete with his beloved dog, Nala, who he enjoyed spending time with and taking her out on walks. Known for his great sense of humor, Daniel was always making people laugh and making fast friends. The "Mayor of Lake View," Daniel, often took Nala out on his rounds of the area - checking in on everyone and everything. His jokester personality was only matched by his huge heart. Generosity and kindness came naturally to Daniel, who would do anything for anyone.
Daniel's friendly personality boded well for his career as a self-employed cab driver for most of his life, which he enjoyed immensely. He always kept candy in his cab for kids in the area and loved to chat with passengers. Before his time as a cab driver, Daniel also had stints working in mattress delivery, laying hardwood floors, or working concrete jobs with his father.
When not working or spending time with his family, Daniel enjoyed his second greatest love after Carol - nature. Daniel loved spending time outdoors when he could, enjoying fishing with friends, particularly at the 18 Mile Creek. When he couldn't be outside, he enjoyed nature through television - enjoying many nature and survival shows on channels like Discovery. Daniel knew exactly how to win any survival show with all his research from the programs. He also enjoyed watching programs about Big Foot, Fox News, cartoons, or animated movies. A man of faith, Daniel utilized the St. James bible app to read or listen to a different piece of scripture every morning and night and always made sure to pray over every meal. If all else failed, one could find Daniel singing, often in an opera-esque voice.
Daniel will be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness to all.
