Rose Wade

Obituary of Rose H. Wade

Rose was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, to John and Teresa Grandits. She was a proud graduate of St. Anne’s Business School and a former secretary at Niagara Mohawk who often got together with a group of old friends from this time for monthly lunch dates. She and her late husband Vincent met at a church picnic and started dating after hitting it off from there. The two were married for 63 years with a family of three daughters, twelve grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. As a family, they enjoyed spring vacations to the coasts of Florida, camping and fishing the Adirondack Mountains and Thousand Islands, and spending time at their cottage at Point Breeze. She and Vincent spent their later years relishing in the warm weather at their winter home in Haines City, Florida.

Rose was a long-time member of Queen of Heaven Church since its opening and had a weekly slot at the Chapel of Adoration. She prayed the rosary daily for all her family and friends and always the Memorae before family members traveled to keep them safe. Rose was a very kind woman and was always thinking of others. For many years, Rose volunteered at the Waters of East Aurora Nursing Home, playing piano for their religious services once a week. She and her sisters even donated the chair Fr. Greg uses for his mass at Queen of Heaven.

She will be missed dearly for her beautiful smile, positive attitude, and ability to always look on the bright side.
