Obituary of Sharon L. Lips

Sharon L. Lips was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, on July 11th, 1948, to her parents, Charles and Bonita. When Sharon was eighteen, she started her family with the addition of her son Michael. Sharon later met her husband, Michael, who had three daughters, Kristine, Tina, and Michele. The two met while Sharon was waitressing at Howard Johnson's; Michael instantly thought she was the most beautiful and eye-catching woman. The two immediately hit it off, and the rest was history. Michael did everything to make sure Sharon got everything she deserved. Sharon and Michael did everything together, and they were each other's best friends for more than 39 years. When it was time to remodel their home, Sharon was right alongside Michael, helping him every step of the way. They built a mini park behind their house; this park had a pond with benches, many fish, multiple plants, and even a magnolia tree that the girls got her. You could often find Sharon sitting on one of the benches by the pond; she loved being in nature. When Sharon was not working on home renovations with her husband, they were often found at the car shows, dancing the night away. When they were younger, they traveled to many different countries, especially to cities and countries in South America. Being in the warm sun brought Sharon pure happiness. When Sharon was younger, she would try to stop by every garage, estate, or even storage unit sale. Sharon was also known for her huge heart. Everyone saw her as very honest and wise; she would practice and share her life lessons with anyone who would listen. Being a caregiver came naturally to Sharon; she was a great homemaker. Sharon had a soft spot in her heart when it came to animals. She often donated to animal organizations in her area. She also always had many rescue dogs she would care for; even if the dog seemed aggressive, Sharon would work with them until she won them over. Her dog, Mieak, was a rescue that she loved, and she would spoil them every chance she got. Sharon had such a way with animals; she could get almost animals to eat out of her hand. The only animal she disliked was ants, only because they would mess up her garden. Cooking was another way for Sharon to pass the time; she was good at it too. When her kids got older, she taught them everything she knew about cooking. Sharon was always making food for people, especially for her children. Sharon was not only a devoted wife, but she was also a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved her family more than anything and would do anything to protect the ones she loved. Lips, Sharon L. of Lake View, NY went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Dedicated wife and best friend of Michael L. Lips; devoted mother of Michael (Julie) McMillen, Michele (late Eddie) Malesczuk, Tina (Tony) LoDestro, and Kristine (Christopher) Majewski; loving grandmother of Ryan, Joshua, Bethany, Molly, and Paxton; caring great-grandmother of Callie Rose; loving sister of the late Connie Cellini; cherished sister-in-law of Cheryl Heilig and Mark Lips; caring aunt of Michael and Mary Cellini; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
