Obituary of Susan Elizabeth Barber

Susan Barber was born and raised in Fulton, New York to Vincent and Venera Bonanno. She would often visit back home with her own family, attending clam bakes and stopping by the Syracuse Market. She was a dedicated mother to her son, Jeff and daughter, Christine, who she was always present for their activities. Susan also always had fur-children in her life as she loved cats. Cooking was a fun talent of hers and Steven especially enjoyed when she made Italian chicken wings. Hilbert College would set the scene for meeting the love of her life, Steve. The two went on to attend Daemen College together while engaged and then marry, settling in Buffalo, New York. Susan always kept busy and on the go in life but would slow down to enjoy the occasional Blue Moon now and then. Traveling with her family was favorite pastime for her, as they went on many cruises to places such as Hawaii, the Panama Canal and Bermuda; she loved lighthouses and the ocean. When she was younger, she worked as a lifeguard but grew to become an accountant for various companies over the years. Running was Susan’s main passion in life as she was a runner since before high school. Susan ran track in college and participated in many 5Ks and half marathons; she ran every chance that she got and even won an award for running 100 5Ks in one year. Susan will be missed for the love she gave to her family and remembered for the strength she carried with her through all obstacles. Barber, Susan E.
