Gregory Miller was a thoughtful, dependable man with a big heart. He was the kind of man that would always put others before himself and never say "no" when asked to help someone.
He was given the nickname "Columbo" when the kids at school gave him that name after wearing a trench coat to school one day. The name stuck from that point forward. Some people never knew his real name was Greg.
Greg was a guy that everyone knew- no matter where he went, people always recognized him by the smile on his face and his joking personality.
One day, he met the love of his life, Gina, at Mickey Rats when he caught her eye with his fantastic dance moves; despite his size, he was very light on his feet. The pair shared thirty years together. Greg cared for Gina's son, Isiah, who he met when he was nine years old, and daughter Taconda at age of 13. Taconda nicknamed him Chilli”. He was there for her from her eighth-grade graduation to high school graduation, her first car, basketball games and any life situation. She will forever be grateful for him. Her special message to Chilli,: I love you and appreciate every moment we shared. Family meant everything to Greg. He always told them he was just a phone call away and would drop anything to help them out. He was known as a fantastic brother, son, uncle, and g-pa to Paul III, Zachariah, and Janiah.
His sister Ann would always say, "I love you, big boy." His brothers, Brian and Rodney, will always remember your special bond, your loving smile, and 3 AM tik tok.
Greg was very resourceful at fixing things. If he didn't know how to fix something, he would watch videos to figure it out, or he knew ew a guy who could help. A plumber by trade, he would always make sure his friends and workers from his plumbing jobs had something to eat after a hard day of work or whenever they needed it.
Some of Greg's favorite pastimes were fishing at the gorge, where he always caught fish by the buckets full. He enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and gardening. He had the best yard on the block- he loved plants and had a green thumb for sure. He started bringing plants and flowers home as a kid and never stopped.
He also had a silly side where he always signed his name as "Mr. Gregory Miller" and used his random grey spot in his hair before it all went grey for all his usernames.
Greg will be missed by all he touched.
Please take a bookmark to remember greg and the place he will always hold in your heart.
