Victor Cimicato

Obituary of Victor J. Cimicato

Victor Cimicato was known to his family and friends as a fun-loving, family-oriented man who was always ready to help someone in need. Born in North Collins, NY, Vic lived in Western New York his whole life and loved this area. He joined the Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam War. His time in the Air Force is where his lifelong love of all things aviation began. Shortly after Vic returned home from the Air Force, he started working at Prior Aviation where he learned to fly, got his pilot’s License, and spent the next 20 years working his way up to Operations Manager. After his time in aviation, he started his own company, Victory Construction, Inc, where he put his skills and love of working with his hands to good use for many years. Family was everything to Victor. He was happily married to his wife Alice for 16 years. Vic had 3 children: Marlene, Jennifer, and Victoria. He also welcomed two stepchildren, Samantha and Kenneth, who he treasured as his own family. Vic and Alice were eventually blessed with six grandchildren. One of Vic’s favorite pastimes was traveling. He and Alice took many cross-country road trips to California, stopping in Las Vegas, Nevada, both ways. Florida and Canada were other popular trips - visiting friends and family along the way and always accompanied by some good music - oldies and Frank Sinatra were on constant rotation. One of Vic’s favorite trips was to Italy with his wife, his brother Carmen, Carmen’s wife Rae, and his brother Pasquale. When he wasn’t busy traveling or working, Vic enjoyed riding motorcycles and taking long walks, on the beach or to explore his way through a new city. He also loved a good game of poker with his brother-in-law, Jack. His love of family, patriotism, and strong work ethic will be missed but will be remembered by his family and friends for many years to come. A celebration of Victor’s life will be planned for the summer of 2022. Details to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
