Richard Persico

Obituary of Richard V. Persico

Richard Persico was a wise, strong, dedicated family man. He and his wife Louise welcomed 5 children: David, Richard, Sharon, Jackie, Michael. Richard was a paratrooper with the 11th airborne division earlier in life during the Korean War. He was very patriotic and knowledgeable about the military, especially about WWII. Richard enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hunting elk, deer, antelope, and big game. He took several hunting trips to Canada and enjoyed heading west to hunt in Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas. He was also a great sportsman who enjoyed fishing and watching football and hockey, primarily the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. You could sometimes catch Richard cruising around town in his Jaguar with the top down in the summer, enjoying the sunshine. He made many trips across country to visit family in California, making his last trip out there in his Jaguar when he was 88. When he wasn't in the great outdoors, you could find Richard watching his favorite Western, Gunsmoke, or listening to his favorite music from Tony Bennett or Frank Sinatra. Richard will be greatly missed by many of his family and friends whose lives he touched. Persico, Richard V., of Boston, NY, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 22, 2022.
