Obituary of David Michael Mascio

Dave was the proud father of Tyler David, TD, and Madison Elizabeth. Once Dave became a father, his whole life was devoted to his children. David was always a family guy... The more the merrier he said. He fell in love with Gina Dewolf and her children Adrianna, Courtney, Jake, and Joey. He was once again so proud and would be a source of guidance, strength, and character. Dave was larger than life. He was a mentor and a coach that was respected and loved by everyone who knew him. He touched countless lives in positive ways. It takes a special person to be able to drive people to work harder and dream bigger and he could do that over and over! His knack for bringing out the best in people was because he was genuine. His generosity was without hesitation and his compassion for people was endless. He would always take care of someone who was in need without judgment. These characteristics helped Dave lead the teams he coached to countless victories. He would take his teams as far away as Las Vegas. Dave started coaching youth football, baseball, and wrestling, all the way to the level of semi-pro football. He was instrumental in developing numerous teams and leagues. If he saw a need somewhere, he would simply make it happen. His latest endeavor of this nature is the Western New York Mustangs. Dave’s vision and drive also made him successful in his business endeavors. It is with great pride that him and Gina became the owners of Fast Teddys: Home of "cold coffee and lousy food." He had an abundance of regulars that would be there not only for a meal, but to sit and have a chat with Dave. He thrived in this environment. It was not uncommon for Dave to run a charity event and instead of accepting payments, he would ask for a donation to St. Judes. It is exactly that giving spirit that made him who he was. The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively. "This quote is an accurate representation of the great man he was. He will forever live in the hearts of many. Mascio, David December 6, 2021, of Tonawanda, NY.
