Obituary of Timothy Daniel Roach

Timothy Roach was a strong hardworking family man. He was born in Buffalo, New York to John J. Roach and Anna Mae Jones on February 2nd, 1960. He was not only loyal and dedicated to his family and his friends, but everyone around him. He was also a firm believer in doing everything to his fullest potential, he always strived to do his best with everything he did, especially when it came to his family. Therefore, he was a great father to his two sons Jeremy and Nathan Roach, and his daughter, Marissa Roach. Tim and his wife Chris were married 34 years and through the loss of their son Jonathan at birth, they learned to honor their commitment to have and to hold for better or worse. Tim liked to keep busy whether it be yard work, household chores, home improvement projects, golfing, and exercising. He always found time for not only his family but Chris’s as well. Family was one of the most important things to him, he looked after the care of his parents in their later years until their death and was especially close to his sister Jane and all his nieces and nephews. Chris’s family became his family and he treasured time spent with them except the Demme good-bye. When Tim was not taking care of his family, he was staying active by playing hockey, golfing, reading, watching his Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. Tim also played fast pitched softball with Chris’s brother-in-law, Paul, which is how they first met after some prodding from Chris’ sister Rosanne. He was also an asset in the office, whether it be NYSDOT or Mott Macdonald, mentoring his fellow engineering co-workers. Tim did not want to be the center of attention but he had great one-liners or sarcastic wit. Tim was his son's scout leader, a hockey dad especially at 6 am game times, and a teacher to all his children. He was unbelievably patient with not only his kids but everyone around him, especially his wife on the golf course. He was a former member of Brierwood Country Club and most recently a member at Wanakah Country Club. He was “one of the good guys.” As Tim always tried his best Chris finds it important to note that Tim fought hard for 29 days after his heart attack and cardiac arrest. He wanted to live and he tried his best. He didn’t fail us, his heart did. Roach, Timothy Daniel December 5, 2021, of Hamburg, NY.
