Suzanne M. Montgomery, lovingly known as Sue, was born December 5, 1951, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Francis X and Dorothy Doherty. Sue was an incredibly devoted daughter who loved her parents. Sue was close not only to her parents but also to her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her cousins' children even referred to her as Aunt Susie.
Sue started her own family when she met the late Benjamin, a Canadian native. With the addition of Ben into Sue's life came her three beloved stepchildren; Benny Jr., Richie, and Cheralynn. Her family then extended to her furry friends, especially the cats she would often rescue.
When not spending time with her family, Sue worked as a clinical records manager for the Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity in Lackawanna, NY. Sue was also quite active in her community. While she used to be involved in the Hamburg Democratic Committee, volunteering on many political campaigns, Sue spent a lot of her time with the Big Tree Fire Hall. Sue was also a gaming enthusiast, playing slot machines and bingo at the fire hall when it came to hobbies. Additionally, Sue loved professional wrestling, always making sure to watch every Saturday and attending live events when possible. Sue even became personal friends with many wrestlers, including Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and Rowdy Roddy Piper. However, Sue's favorite event was the Erie County Fair. She never missed a fair, attending every year and going every day she could, even winning Fairgoer of the Year.
Suzanne "Sue" Montogmery will be remembered for her love for her family and involvement in her community. She will be greatly missed.
