Pasquale Ciccarella

Obituary of Pasquale Frank Ciccarella

Pasquale Ciccarella, known to most as Pat, was born in Silver Creek, New York. He was the only child of Joseph and Mary Ciccarella who raised him in strong faith and with great love in Angola, New York. This was carried into the next generation with the meeting of his beloved wife Dorothy. A chance meeting, 54 years ago, at a restaurant in Canada, a great love story began. Over the coming years, Pat and Dorothy were blessed with three sons, Joseph, Pat, and John. A dedicated family man, Pat loved spending most of his time with his family. As someone who enjoyed the outdoors and the warm weather, Pat spent time throughout his life camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, and was known to play basketball with the boys in the driveway. The family had several pets, but Sadie, Pat’s favorite, was his walking companion. They could be seen walking throughout Lakeview almost daily. Friends and family were important and he especially enjoyed gathering around the table with people he loved, good food, and homemade wine. The winemaking was another tradition passed down from his parents and one his sons continues today. Pat’s life revolved around his sons and he had been involved in all of their activities, coaching baseball, watching football games, attending school plays. This great love and dedication to family continued to the next generation. He warmly welcomed into the family three daughters-in-law who he loved (and loved to tease) very much. The family was also blessed with five granddaughters and one grandson who Pat cherished. The grandchildren’s activities became a highlight of his as he frequented many of their softball games, football games, dance performances, graduations, and many other events. He had an especially close personal relationship with each and every one of the grandchildren. They all loved to play games, hear stories and simply visit with Grandpa every chance they had. Pat and Dorothy loved to travel and visited many places such as California, Florida, Ireland, and Italy. Pat was a leader in his community and gave with great love to his commitments to church and other organizations. His occupation was in accounting and was employed as an accountant and controller at various companies. In his earlier years, he was involved with the Knights of Columbus and has been a longtime parishioner of St John Paul II Church in Lake View and a member of their Holy Name Society and Eucharistic Minister. Ciccarella, Pasquale “Pat” of Lake View, NY passed November 19, 2021.
