Obituary of Gloria Blesy
Gloria was born October 20, 1949 in Gowanda NY to Werner and Evelyn Blesy. She has three siblings, Harold, Helen, and David. She attended kindergarten at Boston Methodist Church in Boston NY and many of her school years were spent attending public schools. She graduated high school from Springville Griffith Institute. Gloria attended college at Alfred Tech. Gloria worked in the Business Office at Bethlehem Steel. A proud Aunt and sister, she has many nieces and nephews that she is very proud of. Her oldest brother, Harold lives in Springville, and is a farmer with three children. Her sister, Helen, is a retired schoolteacher from Eden, and she has two children. Her brother David retired after running his own business for several years and has two children. Hobbies which Gloria has enjoyed over the years are knitting, reading books (especially Danielle Steel) and the daily newspaper, playing bingo, doing word finds, and jigsaw puzzles. In fact, Gloria has a large puzzle she completed hanging on her wall. She also has traveled to many places on vacation. Some of her best memories are vacations with family and friends and trips with her friend Ann and cousin Jennifer. Gloria kept a book of all the places she visited. Some of the most memorable places were Bermuda, Hawaii, St. Lucia and St. Kitts. Gloria will be greatly missed by all she touched. Blesy, Gloria October 9, 2021 of Hamburg, NY. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 16th at 10:30AM at Faith United Church of Christ, 8651 Boston State Road, Boston, NY 14025. Please assemble at church.
