Obituary of Gregory Louis Gorcica

Gregory Gorcica was a compassionate and loving man with a kind and gentle soul. He and his wife Colette met while working for Barrister Information Systems as a Software Support Analyst, traveling to support customers with software. The two dated for four and half years, going out to the movies, ChiChi’s, and dancing often for dates before deciding to finally get married. Gregory and Colette were happily married on October 29th, 1993, and spent 28 happy years together and had a terrier mix named Gizmo who is still going strong at 16 years. While the two were dating, Gregory’s father passed and he became the main caregiver for his mother. At his local gym, Crunch Fitness, he had a large support circle of many friends where he got to enjoy his love of exercise. He and Colette loved to travel States and Europe and especially loved Portofino, Italy, and Sicily. Gregory also belonged to Watermark Wesleyan Church and was always able to help anywhere he was needed. He was an incredibly handyman around the house as well and could do and fix anything. His passion was woodworking and woodturning, making boxes, bowls, pens, and wine bottle stoppers; he even gifted a lathe to his neighbor’s brother-in-law Keith from Georgia, and all his woodworking tools when he was no longer able to use them. He loved his flowers in his garden, especially the roses because they were absolute, huge showstoppers. Gregory will be missed for the way he always stepped up for those he cared for and spreading kindness with his good nature. Gorcica, Gregory peacefully September 5, 2021, of Hamburg, NY.
