Jack DiMaria was a loyal family man and friend to all who never held a grudge. He was a fantastic joke teller with a great sense of humor who loved to make others laugh. Bringing the family together was important to Jack, especially being a role model to his grandchildren. He loved teaching them about life, boating, fishing, waterskiing, and fixing cars. These were all big hobbies for him, as he had a place out in Rushford where he enjoyed all of them and even traveled to Florida in the winter at Lady Lake and Hawaii as well; he was a member of the Friendly Travel Club too. Jack would appreciate the occasional beer and loved to dance, especially the jitterbug. He was into cars and was a member of the Mustangs Just Having Fun Club.
Being patriotic was near and dear to his heart, as he was a veteran of the United States Navy. Jack served during the Cuban Missile Crisis as Military Intelligence in Cuba during his time in the service. He was also a member of the Hamburg American Legion Post 527. Later he would work for Operating Engineers Local 17 Union for 50 years as a Crane Operator, loving his line of work for both Higgens and Clark. In the past, he was a member of Knights of Columbus and attended St. John Paul II Catholic Church.
Jack will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of life. He will be missed by all.
