Obituary of Alice R. Brunner

Alice R. Brunner, while a private woman, was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Alice was known to be quite particular and proper, especially when it came to how she dressed and entertaining guests. Alice always dressed put together and never wore jeans. She also always used fine china and real silverware for all her guests. An idea passed along from her mother; Alice firmly believed that investing money in quality items would make them last longer. A woman of faith, Alice was also a devoted member of St. John Vianney Church until the COVID-19 pandemic kept her from attending. However, she made sure to put money aside in envelopes each week for the church. Alice began her own family after meeting her husband, Raymond M. Brunner. The pair would go on to have three children; Mark, Karen, and Raymond. Alice loved her family and was delighted with the addition of four grandchildren; Robert, Thomas, Curtis, and Alexandra, as well as ten great-grandchildren; Anthony, Alyssa, Kevin, Camryn, Cody, Luke, Calvin, and Finn. Her family also extended to her longtime friend, Janice Brown. When Alice wasn't caring for her home or raising her family, she worked for LL Berger and Aetna Insurance as a claim processor. Throughout her life, Alice had various hobbies and pastimes. Talented at arts and crafts, Alice enjoyed knitting Afghan blankets, sweaters, slippers, embroidery, cross-stitch, etc. She also liked completing word searches. Alice was also known for her skills in the kitchen, always cooking large dinners for her family with some family favorites, including cheesecake and potato latkes. If all else failed, one could find Alice listening to Elvis or watching the NY Yankees. She never missed a game and even wore her Yankee socks. Alice will be remembered for her love for her family and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Brunner, Alice R.
