Obituary of Joan P. Manuella
Joan Manuella was a beloved wife of nearly 73 years to the love of her life, Charles Manuella. She would always tell him, "I'm going to grow old with you." The couple were married very young and were blessed with four beautiful children, the late Charles, Cynthia, James, and David. Joan was known to be a real family-oriented woman who stayed at home and raised her children. She was strict but loving and always wanted respect in her household. Later in life, their family grew to include 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. They always brightened her day and meant the whole world to her. Joan would say, "I have the most wonderful family." She loved to go with the grandkids to a cabin they owned to "drink them under the table" with her whiskey and water. Joan was a people person who always had a smile on her face, despite her ailments. She loved to travel. Some of her favorite places to travel were Ireland and San Diego, and she would take cruises almost every year. When she wasn't spending time with family or traveling, you could find Joan watching old-time musicals or listening to her favorite music, including artists like Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole. Joan would want to be remembered as being loved by her family and all she touched. Manuella, Joan P. June 8, 2021 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved wife of 72 years to Charles F. Manuella; devoted mother of the late Charles (Lynn) J. Manuella, Cynthia (James) Wieczorek, James (Janine) Manuella, and David Manuella; cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; loving sister of Raymond (late Carol) Powers; dear sister-in-law of Marie Fegal, Peter (James VanTruren) Marklin, the late Paul (late Bonnie) Manuella, and special nephew Jeff Fegal.
