Obituary of Brittney Mae Morey

Brittney Mae Morey was a breathtakingly beautiful woman with a heart of gold. Brittney was selfless and would do anything for anyone. She served as everyone's protector. Full of life, Brittney would often be found smiling, laughing, and dancing around the kitchen in her pajamas. Her smile and big, beautiful eyes could brighten up anyone's day. Brittney also had a great sense of humor and was always playing practical jokes on everyone, especially her boyfriend, Kyle. She even once faked going into labor while moving to mess with him. However, no one could stay mad at her laugh. The beloved daughter of John Morey and Dawn Smith, Brittney was born into a large family. Born with a full head of hair, Brittney showed herself to be strong as she fought the RSV Virus at two weeks old. Her family would become one of the most important things in her life. Growing up, Brittney was incredibly close with her siblings: Alexis, John, Jaxson, and Darren or "Bobz." She served as their champion and always knew how to help them, often stepping in when needed. She also spent lots of time with her mother, Dawn, and made sure to visit once a week. Brittney even looked up to her grandmother Marion and was very proud that she resembled her. Her family grew when she met Kyle Leahy at Hamburg Beach. The two shared six wonderful years. The family grew even more with the birth of her two wonderful children, David and Aubriella. A doting and loving mother, Brittney kept a systemic way of doing things to care for them. This style of organization lent well to her full-time job as a homemaker. Despite the size of the family, Brittney always made sure to give attention to every single person. Heritage and faith were also essential components of Brittney's life. She was proud to belong to the Onondaga nation and actively practiced in the Longhouse Religion. Brittney was excited to teach her family, especially her children, about the importance of their faith. Brittney also had a lot of activities she enjoyed. A skilled crafter, Brittney was incredibly creative. She loved going on Pinterest and recreating things she would see. Brittney often made gifts for her family and friends, including a Peter Pan window to honor a passed cousin. She also taught her cousins how to crochet. Brittney was also talented in beauty-related skills, often dying her and her family's hair. She also taught her cousins how to French braid. Anything beauty or art-related, Brittney was interested. She also loved the beach and the water, spending lots of time on boats and jet skis with friends and family. If all else failed, one could find Brittney enjoying the company of animals, especially her three cats. Brittney will be remembered for her selflessness, kind heart, strong faith, and captivating smile. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
