Obituary of George J. Bogold, Jr.
George Bogold Jr. was a man who knew what he liked and enjoyed keeping busy. He disliked sitting still for too long. As a man of faith, George was also heavily involved with the First Baptist Church of Eden. As a young man, George met the woman who would become his wife. Growing up in the same neighborhood, George spent a lot of time with Barbara. The pair grew up together and eventually fell in love, marrying on April 30th, 1955. The couple would soon grow their family by welcoming their children Michele, Steven, Kevin, and Shari. George loved his family and spending time with them. His children fondly remember George taking them sledding and on special winter picnics. To support his family, George worked for Bethlehem Steel as a machinist. When not spending time with his family or working at Bethlehem Steel, George was a natural-born tinkerer. While a machinist by trade, he also enjoyed woodworking. Many of the furniture in the house and his desk were handmade. George often could be found remodeling various parts of the family home or working in his workshop. Owning five acres of land, George also spent a lot of time attending to his yard. Whether it was cutting all the grass or caring for his vegetable, fruit, and flower gardens, he loved spending time outside. George will be remembered for his skills as a tinkerer and his devotion to his family, faith, and projects. Bogold, George J., Jr. February 17, 2021 of Angola, NY.
