Obituary of Dr. Brenda J. Voorhis

Dr. Brenda Heath Jacobsen Voorhis, daughter of Dr. A Wilmot Jacobsen & Dr. Evelyn Heath Jacobsen, passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2021. She is predeceased by her eldest daughter, Catherine Hubbard Cuartas. She is survived by her 5 other children: Mary Josephine Battersby, Brenda Battersby Thurman, Ann Elizabeth Battersby, Edward Francis Battersby and Karin Voorhis. Dr. Voorhis is also survived by her loving grandchildren. Dr. Voorhis was a proud graduate of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She spent many happy years working for Gowanda Psychiatric Hospital where her ward was known as the “Angel Ward.” Arrangements made by LAKESIDE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC. 716-674-6346.
