Obituary of Joseph Candino

Joe Candino was known as an outgoing and loving man who was a devoted father and grandfather. His charismatic charm allowed him to talk to anyone and everyone. He loved to make jokes, even if it was just to the staff at the drive through. Joe married his wife Lynn later in life, around the age of 40. He fell into the role of family man immediately, adopting her 4 children Michael, Scott, Eric, and Raelynn. They then added another, Joseph Jr., to the family. Joe loved being a father, and delighted in making everything special for all 5 of the kids. A vacation was a rare treat for the large family. One time at the beach, Joe bought a bunch of seashells and threw them into the water where the kids were playing. They were so excited to have found such pristine shells just lying right there in the sand! He was not only a devoted father, but also loving and caring grandpa. He absolutely loved hanging out with his grandkids, and was delighted to welcome Kennedi into the world just a few short months ago. Joe owned and managed some apartments, which kept him very busy and allowed him to flex his handyman muscles. He was always running around fixing things and would make sure that his children learned the skills he used along the way so they could implement them into their own lives. He would often say “It’s important to know a little bit about a lot of things” and made sure to pass this moral on to anyone who looked up to him. Joe's beloved brother, Domenico Candino, opened a family business, Candino Hair Systems, in West Seneca which Joe eventually joined and grew into his legacy. He enjoyed being able to help folks look their best, but enjoyed the company of all his clients even more. Having thrived on being an outgoing and social guy, his heart was broken when he had to close the shop because of the pandemic. Joe loved to be busy and was antsy if he couldn't be doing something. His days without work allowed his relationship with his children to flourish during the pandemic, and they are forever grateful for that extra visiting time. Joe had many hobbies, including woodworking, dancing, playing cards, sports betting and deer hunting. One of his favorite pastimes was going to the Legion Post in West Seneca and making everyone else, including Kelly, sing karaoke while he watched and danced his heart out with anyone and everyone on the dance floor. Joseph’s family will remember him as a giving man that loved his family. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched and will always bring a smile to everyone's face when they reflect on his wonderful spirit.
