Obituary of Mark Edward Schmidt

Mark was truly a wonderful person that would give the shirt off his back to help anybody that needed it. He was a unique man with a witty sense of humor that could make his loved ones laugh simply by opening his mouth. Mark met his beloved wife, Linda, while she was visiting The Villa Restaurant with her parents. The two hit it off, and they spent 42 cherished years together raising their two boys, Edward and Jordan. He taught his sons everything he knew such as how to do repairs around the house and other practical life lessons. to them, Mark was their best friend. and he forever will be. Mark also enjoyed a good adventure every now and then. He owned a beautiful motorcycle that he would ride with Linda as well as a boat that they would sail around the Gulf of Mexico. Mark enjoyed a good game of golf at Southshore and had a passion for it. He also loved to travel! whether it was up to Niagara Falls, Graceland, Tenessee or all the way to Florida, he loved to see the sights and take in all that he could. Mark had a motto in life that he used for any occasion: “That’s life.” That life Mark left behind will be remembered through his many acts of kindness, his abundant care for his family, and every quip and laugh he spread to those he loved.
