Obituary of Phyllis Marie Zagarrigo

Phyllis was a hard-working, happy-go-lucky woman with a strong love for animals. She was known as someone who was kind and giving to the animals and people in her life, giving them all her love. Phyllis worked in hospitality as a meeting planner. This job gave her the opportunity to travel a lot and always meet new people, which she loved! She had a natural ability to help anyone in need, no matter who they were. When she was not traveling, you could find her at home in the garden growing beautiful flowers and vegetables or cooking. Although she never had human children, she still had a loving family. Her cats and dogs were her children! She was also incredibly close to her sister, Sharon, and Brother, Gerald. The three were best friends and took good care of each other. Dancing gave Phyllis great happiness, and she loved to share that experience with her late husband Jimmy. She was a fantastic dancer, and took ballet and jazz in her younger years. Phyllis’ caring and sweet smile will truly be missed and remembered by everyone she knew and loved. Zagarrigo, Phyllis Marie passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2020. Wife of late Jimmy Zagarrigo; Daughter of the late Jerry and Rose Vinciguerra; Sister of Sharon and Gerald Vinciguerra; also survived by a host of other family and friends. Out of concern for the health and safety of Phyllis' friends and family, services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo, Hamburg Mutts for Freedom, Diamonds in the Ruff, the Ten Lives Club, or an animal rescue charity of your choosing in Phyllis' name.
