Tatar, Julius of Hamburg, NY passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 27, 2020. Devoted husband of the late Dorothy Tatar; Beloved father of the Ronald (Deborah) Tatar, late Lawrence Tatar, Gary (Claudette) Tatar, Deborah (Eric) Stein, Barbara Marraffa, and Kevin Tatar; Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; also survived by siblings Helen Estep and Jean Raber, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Julius was a WWII Army veteran, and a devoted volunteer for many years. He volunteered for Little Portion Friary, Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen, Kairos Prison Ministry, was very involved with many church ministries, and spent time volunteering for Operation Good Neighbor. Julius had a passion for helping others and devoted his time to this pursuit all the way up until 95 years of age. He is now reunited with the love of his life, Dorothy. Out of concern for the health and safety of his friends and family, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately.
