Obituary of Mark William Hanna
Mark was a one-of-a-kind guy with a distinctly dry sense of humor and a passion for helping anywhere he was needed. He was known as the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, and never take for granted the opportunity to do so. His great passions in life were being a loving husband to his wife, Sandra, helping care for their kids, and running Rodney’s Restaurant with his brother Billy for 35 great years. Family was the most important thing to Mark. Sandras kids always felt like they had a father in Mark, and even Sandras parents felt as though Mark was as much a friend as a son in law. Together, Mark and Billy turned Rodney’s into a staple of Hamburg that will continue to bring the community together for years to come. His contribution to the community and the relationships he forged through his business is a huge part of how he will be remembered. When he wasn’t cooking or fixing things at Rodney’s, Mark could often be found cooking or fixing things around the house. He had a knack for being able to repair things and wasn’t one to throw something away without doing everything he could to fix it first. His family even called him “MarkGyver” at times! Mark was also a deep thinker and always thought deeply on what he said before he said it. He had a soft spot for animals and especially loved his dog, Willie. Mark will truly be missed by his family, his friends, and his community. Hanna, Mark suddenly on May 20, 2020. Devoted husband of Sandra Hanna (nee Ratajczak); Beloved father of Nichole Schultz, Jaimie, Jessica, Vanessa, Lauren, and Jasmin; Dear brother of Coleen and Billy Hanna; Loving son of the late William and Marilyn Hanna; Son in law of Walter and Karen Ratajczak; Also survived by 9 grandchildren, his dog Willie, best friend and business partner at Buffalo China Kevin Callahan, and many treasured friends.
