Obituary of Carl David Armstrong

Carl Armstrong grew up with humble beginnings that trained him to be a self-sufficient starter and survivor. He was an entrepreneur who had his own plowing business, printing company and did upholstery and window cleaning. He was exceptionally creative, even building his own boat and gazebo. One of Carl’s biggest accomplishments in life was his sobriety since 1972. He met his wife Jean at Skateland roller-skate rink when he was 19 and she was 17; She was the true love of his life and he loved her with his very last breath. Carl enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time on Lake Chautauqua with his pontoon boat and fishing with his grandkids. Time spent at his home in Florida was well cherished. Carl enjoyed history, geography, and politics. He was a big Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing karaoke later in life. Carl will be remembered for his creativity and work ethic, and honored through family memories made in the great outdoors. Armstrong, Carl D., Sr. May 6, 2020 of Hamburg, NY.
