Donna Coleman

Obituary of Donna M. Coleman

Donna was, above all else, a caring and loving caretaker who was always looking out for everyone in her life. She was a doting wife to her late husband, Ernest. The two were blessed with two sons, Edward and Thomas. Even when they were out later than they were supposed to be, Donna was up waiting for them when they got home, ready to offer a snack and a hug and grateful that they had returned home safely. When the boys eventually married their wives, Kristy and Carrie, were welcomed with the same warmth and love. Eventually, Donna had the experience of welcoming her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren into the world. She had a special fondness for babies, and loved to help care for them any time their parents needed a helping hand. She loved and spoiled them as well as any grandmother could! She was also known to act as a caretaker to family, friends, and acquaintances when they needed her special attention and TLC. She opened her home to several people over the years and offered the best kindness and care a person could ask for. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and reading the newspaper. A caretaker through and through, she always had food in the oven and something ready to offer anyone who stopped by to see her. Memories of her home always include the smell of fresh food. She always hosted holidays and enjoyed preparing big meals for her family to bond over and enjoy together. Lasagna was one of her signature dishes, but her chocolate chip cookies were definitely the favorite of any kids around the house. Please take a bag of chocolate chip cookies to remember Donna and her special, irreplaceable brand of love and affection. Coleman, Donna M. (nee Lembke) on February 18, 2020 of West Seneca, NY.
