Obituary of Esther M. Quick
Esther was a devoted wife to her late husband Edward. The two brought children, Kevin and Pamela, into the world where they were blessed with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren to follow.
Learning and supporting education was important to Esther. She attended Mt. Mercy High School, Hilbert College, and finally the University at Buffalo for her Masters in English. Esther received her teaching degree and shared her love of learning by working with people who were pursuing their GED. She continued to keep her mind sharp by voraciously reading and researching things on her computer. She even had the Buffalo News delivered daily to her down in Tampa.
Traveling was a favorite pastime, as she visited Europe on many vacations, along with Turkey and Egypt too! She was a connoisseur of the performing arts. Esther had a beautiful voice and loved to sing in the choir at Queen of Heaven Church. She appreciated the orchestra and ushered weekly at the Buffalo Philharmonic. Visiting the cinema for films was always a treat and she even had a large DVD collection; she loved Audrey Hepburn in ‘Roman Holiday’ the best.
If you couldn’t tell by her beautiful photos, Esther was a model! She even spoke French as well. She had many talents, another being sewing. Esther used to sew matching outfits for her and her daughter when she was little. Her garden was also a work of art as she maintained gorgeous rose bushes.
