Obituary of Marie Keem
Marie was all about family, food and fun! She was a selfless woman who did everything to make sure her family was taken care of. She always made sure they were fed and sheltered and even helped with funeral payments if her family members couldn’t afford it. Being the youngest of her siblings never stopped her from being the one everyone could count on. Even when she was younger, this was the role she gladly took on. She worked at Westinghouse sorting mail to help her family pay the bills.
Marie helped run her husband Nelson’s business, the Lexington Home builders. They built their own home Frank Lloyd Wright style, which was just the kind of style that Marie preferred: classy!
Unfortunatly, Nelson got very sick but Marie was there day and night. Even though the last five years have been very difficult for her, she loved him that much and fought with him until the end. They were soulmates. After her husbands passing, you would see her driving in her husbands favorite pick up truck all over town.
Marie was a beautiful woman who also liked the finer things in life like fancy clothes, mink coats and stilletto high heel shoes. She worked very hard for these indulgences and she deserved it! A naturally crafty woman, she would make ceramics in her basement with her own kiln, knit, crochet and was even a phenominal gardener. She was also known to make huge, delicious meals where no one went home without their leftovers in a doggy bag.
