Carl Mascio

Obituary of Carl P. Mascio

Carl was a loving, selfless, and caring man. He was known as someone who would go out of his way to help anyone he could.

While he was on leave from training in the Army National Guard, Carl met his wife, JoAnn. The couple married on February 27, 1965, and enjoyed the next 54 years together, traveling and raising their 3 sons, Carl, Dave, and Kirk.

Carl was a proud member of the Boilermakers Local 7, and retired from Nicholson & Hall after more than 35 years. His sons, Carl and Kirk, followed in his footsteps and became boilermakers themselves, inspired by the honest, hard-working man who raised them.

After retirement, Carl and JoAnn spent their time travelling and had the opportunity to visit Florida, Hawaii, and the Bahamas together. They also spent as much time as they could with the grandkids. Carl attended every sporting event he could, and loved to sing with the kids. He had a great singing voice! Horses always held a special place in Carl’s heart. He grew up on a farm and even had some of them trained to lie down on command!
