Obituary of Carol A. Kummer
Carol was a simple woman, who always put her love of God and her family above anything else. As a devout Lutheran, she had a strong faith and was always content with the small joys she found. She met the love of her life, Richard, at Taffy’s in Orchard Park when on a date with another guy. She asked her friend to introduce her to Richard, because Carol knew right away that he was the man she was going to marry! They got married 12 months later in 1960, and together they raised their children in the Boston Hills. When they had grandchildren, she made sure to stay involved with them, picking them up from school and babysitting whenever her children needed.
Carol loved spending time with her husband, especially when they got to go camping together. They also enjoyed crafting together, Richard would use his woodworking skills to build her items like hobby horses so she could paint them for craft shows. She also liked to host holidays and potlucks so that she could cook for the entire family. In her free time, Carol would lose herself in the written word, whether it was reading or writing. She found great comfort in faithfully keeping a daily journal in marble notepads.
