Rosalie Sierzchula

Obituary of Rosalie A Sierzchula

Rosalie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and a new great-grandmother. Family was her life. She met her husband Alfred at a roller-skating rink when she was fifteen years old and the rest was history. They were married a few years later and started a family.

Rosalie and Alfred had two daughters and she found her place in the world. She became a stay at home mom and loved to take care of her family in any way she knew how. Rosalie was a great cook. You would often find her cooking up hearty comfort food like her famous mashed potatoes. She enjoyed putting on a huge spread as a Christmas Eve tradition with fresh sausage, homemade pierogi, fish and Polish pastries. You would never leave hungry. One of Rosalie’s favorite places was Lake Chautauqua. The family would rent a cottage every summer at We Wan Chu. She would often be found in the cottage cooking for her friends and family the whole time. When Rosalie wasn’t in the kitchen, she would find joy in many other things, such as telling Alfred where to plant everything in the garden, like her favorite yellow roses or taking care of her grandchildren. She loved to read stories to them when they would visit. Rosalie was so excited to become a great-grandmother recently having her first boy in a family of all girls. When she wasn’t being her loving and nurturing self, she liked to do a little gambling on the slot machines, playing her scratchers and going to bingo. She recently won at the slots and couldn’t have been more excited! Rosalie will be missed dearly by her family friends and loved ones.
