Roy Ellsworth

Obituary of Roy F. Ellsworth

Roy was known by everyone in his life as both a family man and a hard worker. He was a proud Veteran, and enlisted into the Army in 1968 to serve his country in Vietnam. He invested the time and energy into anything he was doing to make sure it was done right. Making sure things around the house were tip-top was just one such example – especially when it came to the yard, he loved to fix things, mow the lawn, and make sure everything was looking its best.

Family was everything to Roy, and he was especially proud to become a grandfather to his first grandson, Garrett. He spent as much time as he could with him and absolutely loved being a Grandpa. Roy adored his wife, Debbie (even if she drove the speed boat a bit too fast for him on their vacation to Cancun!) and was a proud father to their daughter, Michelle.

When he wasn’t watching Garrett or fixing things around the house, Roy loved to watch the “Blue Bloods” on TV, catch Bills games, and hang out with his cousins, sometimes playing euchre or pinochle. One of his favorite pastimes, however, was classic cars. He loved to go to car shows and collected Hot Wheels of some of his favorite models.
