Obituary of Alan James Wick

Al was a fun loving, articulate and considerate man. He always made sure to present himself well by the way he dressed, spoke and his compassion for others.

Al was extremely creative and loved to create art. He liked to draw and paint in his spare time and to designed tattoos for his friends and for himself.  Besides Al’s love of art, he also had other interests that defined his character. He enjoyed cars and motorcycles.  The 68’ Lincoln was one of his favorites, and although he liked motorcycles, it is said he “tried to ride” them, not always being successful.

Other than Al’s hobbies, he was a very compassionate person with a huge caretaker personality as he loved helping others. At one time Al was an excellent E.M.T. and took pride in helping those hurt or in trouble. He also worked as a tow truck driver, once again helping people during a time of need.

Al was a loving son, brother and uncle. He was always willing to help his sister care for his niece and nephew. As one of four children, being the middle child, Al seemed to be raised to always want to help and take care of others. His love of family, friends and his creative and nurturing nature will never be forgotten.

“a true artist is not one who is inspired,

but one who inspires others.”
