Obituary of Richard L. Vitale
Richard was a determined man who worked hard so that he could take care of his family and friends. He was incredibly stubborn and just as selfless, he would do anything for anyone who needed it. During the Vietnam War, he served three years in Korea for the US Army. With all of his life experience, Richard was more than happy to “impart wisdom” on the kids, and he never hesitated to remind them that it was his way “or the highway!” For all the jokes and quick wit, he cared deeply for his children and grandchildren, and he knew the importance of family.
When he had the chance to relax, Richard put all of his heart into what he did, even when it was just TV! He loved watching things like Last Man Standing and Game of Thrones, and he fiercely guarded the remote when his shows were on. Richard also had a passion for animals, especially dogs. He would even go out of his way to try and befriend any “mean” dog he met. However, he had a true talent when it came to trivia. Whether it was in games or conversation, he knew the answers to just about everything!
