Alice Monckton

Obituary of Alice E. Monckton

Alice, was the “Life of the Party” if she wasn’t organizing them, she was cooking, cleaning or baking for whatever gathering was happening. She had a way with ingredients and made awesome chocolate chip cookies, chocolate upside down cake and her signature soups. Everyone knows she also loved her Elephant collection, which soared to over 400, from her travels, and of course, every Christmas brought more. Legend has it that if the Elephants’ trunk is up, it is a sign of good luck and fortune, which Alice had in spades.

Alice met Harold at a Halloween dance and they were destined to be together. Wanting to travel to Florida, with her Beau, her mother Adeline insisted on a marriage first, and so they were wed. December 23, 1950, and every day after they could be seen holding hands. The Newlyweds soon started their family of five that quickly grew with grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were married for a loving 68 years.

Alice had an adventurous life filled with travel, golf and sports of all types. She loved going to the Bills’ games and being part of the action.

She loved unconditionally and was unconditionally loved.
