Obituary of Maureen J. Curtin
Maureen was a kind-hearted and family-oriented woman. She met the love of her life, Patrick, in high school, and spent her whole life by his side. They would have been married 50 years this June, a true testament to her dedication to and love of her family. Patrick, their daughter Cindy, and grandson Jonah were the center of Maureen’s universe.
Because of her big heart and devotion to others, Maureen was a natural caretaker. She regularly volunteered her time and energy to Veterans' causes, and was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. During her time there, she became very involved in programs to feed Veterans in need and bring them Christmas packages to brighten their holidays.
Maureen also loved animals and flowers. She particularly adored cats and watching the birds in her beautiful garden. A natural green thumb, Maureen grew every kind of plant and flower she could find, though petunias and daisies were her favorites.
