Obituary of Jack McMahon

John was an intelligent and industrious man. One of seven children, he was from a large Irish, South Buffalo family called the “McMahon Clan”. He was drafted into the United States Army for World War II in 1943.  He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. When he returned home, he enrolled at the University of Buffalo in the very first Engineering class.  John completed his degree in just three years! After school he was hired by Goya Manufacturing but went on to bigger and better things.  He worked at both MOOG and Bell Aerosystems  before starting his own engineering consulting firm, McMahon Engineering.

Jack, as he is affectionately known, was also involved in his community.  He held office as the President of West Seneca Kiwanis Club for many years.  During his tenure, he designed and created the West Seneca teen center. Travel was the best way Jack found relaxation.  He traveled to Florida nearly every Easter and Myrtle Beach every year. Even though his work kept him busy, he did like to relax on his off days.  You could find him out deer hunting in the fall and golfing throughout the summer.
