Obituary of Nathaniel Rousseau
Nate was a smart and witty young man with a talent for making people laugh. He could talk with anybody for hours and was so knowledgeable and insightful in his conversations. He would often tell his mom “one more minute,” and still be talking twenty minutes later! He couldn’t help it, he had a huge heart that he enjoyed sharing with the world. If you were a friend of Nate’s, he would truly have your back no matter what. He loved animals, especially pit bulls and bearded dragons. However, he had a chocolate lab named Emma who he absolutely doted on. Nate loved his family and everyone in his life very much.
Nate was an accomplished fisherman, who was affectionately known in his family as “The Fish Whisperer.” He taught many people how to fish and he could even make his own jigs! There were plenty of days that his mom would drop him off at Eighteen Mile Creek at 6:30AM and pick him up after she got out of work. Nate cared deeply for the environment and would get upset when people didn’t respect the land. He was careful to clean up after himself whenever he was out fishing. One day, Nate mentioned that he didn’t want to fish anymore because he knew how to catch them all.
