Obituary of Roy L. Meyers
Roy was a strong, tough man with an incredibly kind heart. He served the United States Navy in the early 60s, and since then he’s been a loyal volunteer at the VFW to help his fellow veterans. He also used his time to volunteer with Hospice and the West Seneca Senior Center. Roy never said “no” when someone needed a helping hand. As a carpenter, Roy was very good at working with his hands, so he was always fixing things around the house.
Roy and his beloved wife, Anita, had been happily married for 36 years. He was an amazing father for his children and step-children, and he took great care of Anita and her entire family. In his free time, Roy enjoyed spending time with his dogs, golfing, and salmon fishing. He also liked wine making. Though he never drank it, he would gift family and friends with his home-made creations.
