Obituary of August LoGiudice

Augie was a dedicated man who understood the importance of community, family, and faith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal organization that started charities such as Coats for Kids and Ultrasound Initiative and has paired with charities like the Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity. The group was a large part of Augie’s life, and at 95 years old he became the treasurer for the Senior Knights. Every entry that he made was always perfect and precise, as he took the work that they did very seriously.

Family was even more important to Augie, and he loved the family that he built with his beloved late wife, Etta Mae. Together they raised their children, Sebastian, LuAnn, and Thomas. Though Augie enjoyed golfing, even when he was 90 years old, he loved when he was able to go bowling with Etta Mae most.

Augie was a faithful man and was devoted to God. He donated every month to his church and dozens of different charities. It was only small amounts for each, but he felt that it was important to “pay it forward.” Every single week, he would go to confession at his church.  He also ran Bingo for the church, for many years, as a way to give back.
