Jim was a sensitive and compassionate man with a heart of gold.  He could talk to anyone and always had a bit of advice or a story to tell.  These qualities are what drew Patty to Jim. They started dating in 1962 and haven’t left each other’s side since.  Throughout their time together they raised two children and built a successful business.  Amidst their hard work they traveled as often as they could.  Some of their favorites were Gettysburg, Tennessee and New Orleans. They also had a trailer at Camp Chautauqua, which was enjoyed every weekend, come rain or shine. Jim got a rush from the roar of a boat engine on a glassy lake almost as much as a blown big block in the street.

Jim grew up fixing and rebuilding cars for necessity, which turned into his passion.  You could say he had become a master at his craft winning many trophies for his creations and a few magazine features.  Most notably were his 1955 Custom Chevrolet BelAir and 1950 Anglia Pie Wagon.  Jim has always been a car fanatic, almost to the point of obsession.  Patty could often be heard saying “It’s not all about cars Jimmy!”
