Betty was an independent woman who enjoyed being active in her community. She would do most of her shopping at the Market in the Square, and she would drive herself there until recently. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels to bring joy and food to people in need in the area.
Betty was very career minded as well. Being a purchasing agent for the West Seneca School System allowed Betty to help the children in the area have the best chances they could for learning and growing. Though being born and raised in Buffalo, she moved to West Seneca when she was only 11, so the town was dear to her heart.
Though she gave back often, there were pastimes that Betty enjoyed to help unwind. She loved to travel with her beloved late husband, George, to places like eastern Africa and Germany. She also filled much of her time with reading mystery books. Her garden was planted and maintained by her children, but it was one of her favorite places to spend her time to do puzzles, like sudoku and crosswords.
