Obituary of Vera W. Denz
Vera loved to travel with Don, her husband of sixty-three years. They have seen nearly every national park and have been to all fifty states. First, they started by tent camping and moved on up to owning a fifth wheel. Through time they thought it better to start flying to their destinations. On their trip to Yellowstone, to save on bringing extra luggage, they layered most of their clothing and wore it on their flight! One of Vera’s favorite places to travel was Disney, so they ended up going almost 4 times a year. Her favorite character was Mickey’s loveable pup, Pluto.
Vera always loved her fur-children, the late Snoopy, Sammy, and Buddy and Heidi and Nicki who still reside with Don. You could find her on Sunday’s in the fall cheering on her beloved Buffalo Bills surrounded by her faithful companions, especially during the “Kelly Years.” Later in life, she fell in love with quilting, and began making beautiful pieces to decorate her and Don’s home.
