Peg was a creative woman who dedicated her time and love to what she was passionate about. Her favorite ways to pass the time were when she was creating something with her hands, whether it was sewing, knitting, crocheting, or painting. She loved crafting so much that when all the kids were raised, she started working at JoAnn Fabrics. Because of Peg’s talents with crafting, decorating the house for Christmas was her favorite time of year. Her beloved husband, Roger, used to try and slow down the countless homemade decorations and ornaments by saying, “We don’t need any more!”
Though she was talented in all sorts of crafts, even winning awards for her sewing, Peg’s favorite hobby was painting. Many of her pieces were flowers and scenery, and everyone in the family has one hanging in their homes. Her favorite flowers were yellow tulips and Lilies of the Valley. She once drew a picture of yellow tulips that was so striking that her daughter, Tammy, got the image tattooed on her arm.
