Shirley was a caring and compassionate woman who always made time for her sons and her best friends. Taking rides in the country, seeking out new places was one of her favorite pastimes. She enjoyed both her office work and volunteering with the East Aurora Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Shirley also loved her faithful cat companions; Addison, Malcolm and Abigail.
Shirley found a welcoming family at The Tabernacle where she attended services with her best friend Pat. This is where she developed her voice to sing which she actually recorded with Journeys at Garden Gate.
She expressed her love by knitting for her family and friends. Christmas stockings handmade by Shirley is something her family cherishes. Her craftiness didn’t stop there. Hand knit sweaters, mittens and hats were always in supply. Shirley could often be found doodling while she talked, creating intricate designs to be colored in.
