Obituary of Darlene DiPasquale
Darlene was a friendly Italian woman with a warm soul. She was a classic 1950’s teen with poodle skirts and love for that rock & roll hunk, Elvis, that was evident when you walked into her teenaged bedroom. As Darlene got a little older, she attained a job at a telemarketing firm. Unfortunately, her boss let her go… but called her later that night to ask her on their first of many dates. Her future husband, John, knew a good woman was in his sights and couldn’t let her go. He swept her off to Buffalo where they started a family and enjoyed dancing, car shows, and hosting the best of parties.
The classic 50’s teen grew into a wonderfully classic Italian woman. Tuesday night dinner at Darlene’s was the place to be. If you were lucky (like Nick) you would get to go home with leftovers. Her Stromboli, apple pies, and meatballs with sauce were exceptional. She was so particular about how she made her dishes that when she visited her sister in Ohio, she went with her pot & spoon in tow. Every detail counts when you are the queen of the kitchen.
