Obituary of Mary DiMaria
Mary was a woman whose life revolved around three main things: Faith, Family, and Friends. Her children fondly referred to her as the “Typical 50s Mom”, because of her selfless nature and care for the people around her. Mary was a proud mother of three and a grandmother of four, and she worked hard to make childhood happy for them all. Whenever they asked her “Why me?” for anything, she would always respond with,
“Why not you?”
Mary’s kind and loving nature made her a great friend, and she made sure to see her childhood friends once a month for years for dinner. One of the best vacations that she took her family on was to the amusement park, Cedar Point, where everyone got to enjoy a fun day of thrills and good company. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, because her father was a ship worker and he was always able to come home on Christmas Eve. Besides Christmas, no other holiday could compare to Mary’s true passion, Bingo. At the church, she would always be out playing any day she could, including any holiday other than her beloved Christmas.
