Obituary of William McLaughlin
Bill was a man who adored his family. He met his beloved wife, Lisa, on a blind date when his sister Maggie tried to set them up. They did karaoke for their first date and he sang death metal, much to Lisa’s surprise. For much of his life, he felt like he was wandering. However, when he and Lisa had their son, Sam, Bill felt like he was given a purpose. Sam’s favorite thing was to play with his dad. The pair often got into mischief together, so Lisa would often have to keep an eye on both of them. On April 23, 2017, Bill proclaimed his faith and was baptized in front of his son and his family.
Bill had a great amount of passion in his life, and he was dedicated to everything he committed to. He was very proud of the work that he did at General Mills in production. He loved comic books, especially ones with Thor, and he collected over 5,000 comic books since he was a kid. He also loved Sci-Fi novels, like those written by Steven King. Bill was most passionate about his love of the New York Yankees. His favorite current player was Aaron Judge, but he admired Derek Jeter and Don Mattingly a lot when he was growing up.
