Obituary of Marian Whitte
Marian was the kind of woman who wanted to care for everyone she met. Her work had her helping people in East Aurora, West Seneca, and in Florida. She was an incredibly loyal friend, doing her best to drive people to doctor’s appointments whenever she was needed. She was a Campfire Girls leader for her daughter, Pat, and all her friends for almost 13 years. For her children’s friends, Marian kept an open door policy. If anyone in the neighborhood wanted lunch, or just wanted to talk, Marian would happily welcome them into the family.
Marian’s life was full of vibrant color, just like the flowers that she grew. For her neighborhood, she began the tradition of celebrating May Day each year on May 1st. She would pick flowers with the kids and put them into baskets to hang on the doors of their elderly neighbors. This spread a lot of joy in her community and brightened people’s days. Please take a silk flower to remember Marian’s giving nature, and how she always knew how to make love bloom in your heart.
