Obituary of Francis Lederman
Francis was a strong man, who was a bit rough around the edges, with a heart of gold. By those who knew him well, he was affectionately seen as a “Grumpy Bear”, Because no matter how gruff he seemed, Francis always did his best to put others needs before his own. For work, Francis was a truck driver, doing lots of local jobs for the area that he was born and raised in, Buffalo. He also worked as a switchman on local railways.
Francis was a volunteer fire man, putting his life on the line to protect his community. Though the work could certainly weigh on a person, Francis kept his fellow firemen’s spirits up with friendly games of baseball. He enjoyed playing baseball with his fire department team, but more than anything, he loved watching the New York Yankees play. Please take a piece of Yankees merchandise to remember how Francis’ love could always knock you out of the park.
